A Curve
That
Warmly

Fits
Yours

I have been tracing valleys since as long as I remember, both as a kid collecting stones from their banks, or searching for their remains after they perish.

I wanted to see a living one and how they become long admired and feared

like a mother.

In my letter to you, I wrote of water caressing stones for epochs at a time to a curve your body would intimately fit in.

I show you the ways this valley inspires the feminine and masculine inside of me.

A Curve That Warmly Fits Yours is a tracing of Valle Verzasca in the southern Alps in portraits I took of myself and others in its landscapes. I have always been inspired by Bernini’s flesh of marble. For once, I wanted to explore this weight stones intimately on our bodies. Together with tracing the length of an old and revered valley, it felt like a conversation with yet another sculptor, whose words would echo south to a lake and surrounding mountains.
